Mark's bad week

Tomorrow's a day away.

1. My hard drive failed on my laptop and I lost everything. Years of data, most I hadn't backed-up. Doh!

2. I got violently sick with a virus which knocked me out for close to 3 days. Andrea and Scarlett fled to NJ to escape contamination.

3. Villa out of FA cup, out of UEFA cup, Lose to Chelsea and blow a 2 goal lead in 5 minutes of complacency against Stoke, and with it the chance of an 8 point led over Arsenal.

4. A week later I still feel like my head's exploded after inhaling the fumes from 5 spray cans. See my efforts below...

My hard drive has died a couple times in the last eight years or so, and only now I've learned my lesson and use a 1 TB external drive for backups of the important stuff, music, videos, pictures, recordings, etc.
So it may suck now, but as long as you've learned to back it up at least something good has come out of it and it won't happen again.

Now back to playing Sherlock for a second: your comment about the rabbits is making me wonder.

Rick breathed in sharpie fumes for five hours. You used up FIVE cans of spray paint and got equally buzzed, eh?

5-5 .... so what's happening on May 5th, then? Something to do with two hands of a dead man and rabbits. The mind boggles.

Sounds like a bad week, sorry Im too compu stupid to offer any advice on the lap top trouble.

Nice art work though.

I still have no clue whats up with the rabbits.

What a bad week! As if the virus wasn't bad enough... Well, I read recently in an NYT article that putting the hard drive in the freezer overnight can help it start one last time: http://www.nytimes.com/2009/02/19/technology/personaltech/19basics.html?_r=1&pagewanted=1&em
Any experts here that can judge whether this could actually help? I'm a bit skeptical, but desperate times do call for desperate measures...

Steve... we were on a terrible run yep, but we deserved to win. Though I feel for you when Rafa gets his team selection so wrong like he did on Saturday. Still hope you can win the Champions League though. Can't have Man Utd winning everything can we? Hope Aston Villa can still manage a top 4 spot.

yep, as posted below there are programs you can buy or download to restore lost data but i think it really depends on how badly the thing crashed

Really sucks, espically #1 because I'd imagine a lot of the data is irreplaceable. If the hard drive still spins, then there may be a way to recover the data. More rabbits?

mate we lost to Boro! (sorry Mike but you were on a feckin terrible run) there by ending any title challenge that we had all but mathematically blown and handing the title to our rivals in February! still beat Real away mind.

i can't compete with your Mac and sickness thou, there was sooo much stuff on it! gutted for you...
