BBC Radio Ulster in association with Belfast City Council is celebrating 150 years of musical excellence in the legendary Belfast venue, the Ulster Hall. As well as hosting international cultural figures as diverse as Led Zeppelin, Caruso, Coldplay and the Rolling Stones the building has resounded to many of the finest tunes written by local artists from the worlds of pop, rock, classical, folk, jazz and beyond.
The Ulster Hall is the home of the Ulster Orchestra so BBC Radio Ulster will be assembling a stellar line up of NI music talent to perform with the orchestra on May 22nd 2012 as we toast the songs that were birthed here but have transported our voice around the globe.
