DARE TO DREAM FREE DOWNLOAD & ASH WORLD CUP Q&A

With the World Cup kicking off on Thursday it's time to start dreaming, so we're giving away our A-Z Series single 'Dare to Dream' as a free download for a limited time only. The guys have also shared their favourite world cup memories and made their predictions for this year’s tournament.

A wall of guitars and a piece of last minute magic; Dare to Dream was written on New Year's Eve '09 before Tim went out, recorded the following January and completed in mid-February. Though the music was recorded Tim only had a handful of lyrics written when the artwork was sent to the Czech Republic for the vinyl to be pressed in time for the April release. Thankfully it turned out to be a winner.

ASH World Cup Q&A

What’s your favourite World Cup memory?

Tim: Zidane head butting Materazzi.

Mark: RAY HOUGHTON scoring the winner for Ireland against Italy (1-0) in ’94. It was our first group game match of the World Cup and we were all gathered in our local in Downpatrick. The place was heaving and nobody really expected Ireland to win. So when Houghton's goal went in, and it was a screamer, the place went berserk. People couldn’t believe we were beating Italy who were World Cup heavy-weights. The euphoria didn’t last much longer, it was the only win of the tournament but it was sweet while it lasted.

Rick: Throwing up beef flavour KP mini chips before Northern Ireland beat Spain in 1982.

Who will you be supporting this year?

Tim: It will probably be a short lived tournament for them, but I’m going to give some love to the USA as that’s where I’ll be watching it.

Mark: Iran. I’d love to see them somehow meet and beat the USA, nothing against the US team, it’s a purely foreign policy thing... ;)

Rick: Japan.

Balls on the table time: who’s going to win in Brazil and who do you fancy for the golden boot?

Tim: Who do I fancy? Well, I’m a big fan of Bacary Sagna’s hair. Golden Boot will surely belong to Emile Heskey.

Mark: One of the usual suspects will win it, probably the Germans! Ronaldo has never really shown up at the World Cup, and his form is good, so I expect him to finally make a real impression and get the golden boot.

Rick: I've never predicted the future, and I never will.
